Frank Lampard is a big fan of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and he wants the England international at Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who left Chelsea for Real Madrid last summer.
Earlier reports had suggested Sancho preferred a move to Manchester United where he has been offered the no.7 shirt over a move to Chelsea.
However, according to European football expert Gabriel Marcotti, Sancho wants a move to London this summer, despite reports suggesting the winger is close to signing for Manchester United.
“I’ve been told Sancho would prefer a move back home in other words to London where he grew up,” Marcotti told BTP Media Network.
“But equally I’m sure he prefers a move for wherever gives him the best package and long term prospects.
“Obviously he has leverage and in normal conditions, a United move would have happened.
“I think if I’m Borussia Dortmund, I’ve taken a big hit and ideally I’d want to keep him another year. Let him play the Euros, see if his value goes up.”
