Roman Abramovich unhappy with latest Marina Granovskaia’s contract decisions

Marina Granovskia needs to make some strong decisions in the January transfer window.
Frank Lampard’s job at Chelsea is under threat after some poor string of performances from his side in the Premier League. Chelsea has lost four of their last six matches in the league most recently to Manchester City.

Hence it’s understandable that Frank Lampard is being hunted down by critics all over. His tactics and formations have come under immense scrutiny from the fans who want to see more from their players over-all.

And why shouldn’t the fans be unhappy? This is a side that has been boosted by a $200 million transfer window in the summer with world-class players incoming. It’s justifiable that the fans are angry who want to see their side fighting for the title.

Instead, they’re currently languishing at a ninth position looking uncertain of the future. They will be playing Fulham next in the league before having an FA Cup fixture against Morecambe just four days early.

These two matches are of huge importance to not only Frank Lampard but also the under-pressure players who need a confidence booster. Because after these two fixtures they will be facing an in-form Leicester City team.

Brendan Rogers side will be hungry for blood and will launch an all-out attack on Chelsea. Hence it’s very crucial that they perform well against Fulham and Morecambe if they want to pose a challenge against Leicester City.

Roman Abramovich is unhappy with Frank Lampard

According to reports, owner Roman Abramovich is seriously displeased with Frank Lampard’s recent performances and wants an instantaneous change. The Russian owner is very involved in club matters and cares deeply.

It’s true from past experiences that the Chelsea hierarchy isn’t very patient when it comes to struggling managers and do not like to waste time. They didn’t care if it was Antonio Conte as well when he managed to deliver the FA CUP and the Premier League a season before!

Amidst all this former Chelsea manager Avram Grant has given his full support to Frank Lampard. Grant has advised Frank that he must remain patient and that there’s still a lot of quality in the squad to change things around.

Marina Granovskia must take some decisive action in January

Chelsea’s director for the transferred business is Russian Marina Granovskia who pulled off some string strings to bring the plethora of talent to Stamford Bridge in the summer. Now she needs to repeat her actions in the summer.

With the amount of squad depth that Chelsea has a lot of players are just warming the bench which includes the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Granovskia needs to carefully choose who to exclude.

Moreover, Frank Lampard is also interested in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice. Chelsea has had their sights on Rice for a long time and Marina will try her utter best to ensure he can be brought into the club.
