Rudiger or Zouma? Jamie Redknapp reveals best Thiago Silva’s partnership
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard decided to pair Thiago Silva with Antonio Rudiger for the game against Fulham, and the pair did a good job.
However, Silva’s regular partner is Kurt Zouma, but the Brazilian formed a good partnership with Rudiger in defence, and the pair did a good job of protecting their goalkeeper, as Fulham hardly had a sniff on the Chelsea goal.
Meanwhile, Jamie Redknapp has hailed their partnership and believes they could do a good job together
“When you’ve only had one clean sheet in seven, sometimes things have to change, whether it’s a system change, a personnel change,” Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports, while commenting on Chelsea’s defence.
“I think Rudiger and Thiago Silva looked a real partnership. I know they played against 10 men for half the game, but they looked good, they looked solid, they looked sound.
“That’s something you can go off because I thought Rudiger was really good today.”
