As we all know Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is yet to make an appearance for the Blues this season following the arrival of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was reportedly open to letting the German international leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window but he was unable to secure a transfer.
Rudiger sent a message to Lampard after putting in a strong performance in Germany’s 2-1 victory over Ukraine in the Uefa Nations League.
Rudiger was heavily involved in the build-up for Germany’s opening goal, running past his marker and sending in a low cross for fellow defender Matthias Ginter to sweep home.
Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka doubled Germany’s lead early in the second half before Ruslan Malinovskiy got one back from the penalty spot for the hosts.
