Saudi Arabian club ready to offer £51m and lucrative contract to sign 15goals Chelsea star

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal seem desperate to sign one player from Chelsea in the summer.

Romelu Lukaku is wanted by Al-Hilal and they are ready to offer the striker a two-year contract worth €60m (£51m), according to Calciomercato.

Lukaku is currently at AS Roma on loan and is having a good time there.

In total, the Belgian has scored 15 goals in 26 appearances for the Italian club.

However, with Roma recently sacking Jose Mourinho, the man who brought Lukaku back to Italy, his long-term future may not be at the Stadio Olimpico.

Al-Hilal ready to make huge contract proposal to Romelu Lukaku

Al-Hilal do not look to be messing around here. A two-year contract worth just over £50m is quite the thing to offer.

But they obviously have the money and Lukaku is a top striker with a big profile, so it makes sense if a club goes all out to bring him to the Saudi Pro League.

Given the above, then, on paper, the 30-year-old looks like a good solution to Chelsea‘s current problems up front.

However, this is Lukaku’s second loan spell away from the club after he spent last season at Inter Milan. It is quite clear that the Belgium international does not want to be at Stamford Bridge.

So what does Mauricio Pochettino do? For the time being, he has to rely on Armando Broja, though there has been a lot of talk of Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran potentially coming in.

With the Colombian not through the door yet and Nicolas Jackson still at the Africa Cup of Nations, though, Broja is all that his manager really has.

In the summer, Chelsea could perhaps then go for a more big-name striker like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen or Brentford’s Ivan Toney, while Lukaku finally leaves the club for good.
