Chelsea were mocked at, after the Blues were eliminated from the Champions League, following a 7-1 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich.
For the second leg clash at the Allianz Arena, a depleted Chelsea squad lost 4-1 to Bayern, and while it showed the superiority of Bayern, there were also signs of encouragement for the young Chelsea team.
Meanwhile, a Chelsea fan has hilariously hailed Blues boss Frank Lampard for guiding Chelsea to a lesser defeat, compared to what Barcelona suffered.
He tweeted: “Chelsea conceded 7 goals in 190 minutes. Barcelona conceded 8 goals in 88 minutes. Super Frank Lampard has done it again.”
Another Blues fan even chipped in, as he congratulated Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi for scoring a disallowed goal against the Bavarians.
He tweeted: “I don’t care if it didn’t count, Bayern are so good that I think Hudson-Odoi should be up for a Ballon d’Or just for scoring that disallowed goal vs them last week.”
