Shocking news as Chelsea summer signing orders meeting with Granovskaia about summer Chelsea exit
Hakim Ziyech is reportedly keen to meet with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, with rumours beginning to surface about his immediate future at the club.
Ziyech was signed by former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for a small £34 million fee after establishing himself as one of the most creative and exciting wingers in world football right now.
However, after impressing in pre-season, Ziyech picked up an injury in pre-season which saw him miss the opening weeks of the season, and The 27-year-old has played just 634 minutes in the league, registering one goal and three assists.
Ziyech was in and out of the lineup under Frank Lampard, but has fallen down the pecking order since he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, and the German boss admitted earlier in the week that Ziyech would need to adapt to the Premier League, after playing in the less intense Eredivisie.
“He’s had a good week in training and we count on Hakim like everybody else, there are absolutely no doubts about that,” Tuchel said.
“We [previously] made decisions on other players – not against him – and tomorrow he will have the chance to show the same quality that he shows in training, the same determination.
“For me, it’s clear he needs to adapt to this kind of football, this kind of league.
“He’s come from a strong Ajax squad but they were the benchmark in the league. And it’s not the same intensity and it’s not the same competition as it is here.
“But he’s adapting, and he has the certain quality to decide matches and the certain quality to do the unexpected, which can give us an extra twist in any game and on any level.
“He proved that with Ajax and of course we want to push him to the same level of performance that he showed there, and this is our job.”
Now reports on the DAILY EXPRESS website has come out and claimed that Ziyech has demanded a meeting with Granovskaia about his future at the club, ahead of a possible transfer exit in the summer.
