‘Sh*t player’ ‘don’t go for him’ – Todd Boehly warn not to waste £60m on player
A Chelsea supporter advised Todd Boehly, the new owner of Chelsea, not to overpay Anthony Gordon, a young Evertom player.
The 21-year-old is a target for Chelsea, who have already had a £40 million deal for him turned down.
Chelsea is rumored to be putting up a sizable offer to capture the Everton academy product.
One Chelsea fan, though, has advised the team’s new owner Todd Boehly to focus on other goals.
The clip has gone viral on social media as Boehly being yelled at by a fan, who told him: ‘Todd, don’t buy Gordon! He’s s**t!’
Todd Boehly had appeared to have looked around to see who was shouting at him, but then turned a deaf ear afterwards.
Interestingly, Gordon went on to score Everton’s only goal against Brentford.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has claimed that Gordon is worth £100m.
Lampard said: “I can’t put a number on his value to the club. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with fantastic young players at Derby and Chelsea, seen them develop and become England internationals and Champions League winners, worth triple figures (£100m+) in terms of their personal values.
“Anthony is in that bracket, he’s been a pleasure to work with and he’s ours. He’s an Everton boy, he plays for us and the crowd relate to him.
“It’s understandable that people would be interested in him because of the level of player that he is. The facts remain the same.”
