But if you believe the words of Paddy Kenny – it is Chelsea who are winning the race to sign the £50 million rated midfielder – When asked if Graham Potter’s move to Chelsea could boost their chances of signing Caicedo, Kenny claimed the Blues are now winning the race
He told Football Insider: “Yeah, possibly, that could be a big part of it.
“Chelsea may have an advantage there because of Potter. They are both massive clubs and it will be a big decision to make if they both put offers in
“It’s whether he wants to be in London where it is warmer and there is nicer weather or up North where it is cold and wet.
“It also has to be the club that he feels is the best fit for him. Potter might give Chelsea the upper hand because he knows him and has already signed him once before.
“It’s one to look out for.“
