Sporting director heading to London to hold talks with Chelsea over possible deal
According to reports, Torino’s sporting director Davide Vagnati will travel to London to meet with Chelsea about a potential transfer for Gleison Bremer.
After stars Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left the team after failing to reach an agreement on new contracts, there has been a lot of discussion over the past few weeks regarding who Thomas Tuchel will try to attract to the club.
And a few media rumors claim that Torino’s Bremer is one among the defenders we would consider bringing in during the summer transfer window to replace the elite pair.
Bremer has been remarkable over the past couple of years and is beginning to look like a defender who is almost ready to play for one of the greatest teams in the world, which has generated a lot of rumors.
Torino’s sports director is traveling to London to speak with the London club in an effort to spark a bidding war, according to a report by Sean Walsh at 90Min, amid all the rumors that the club is seriously considering a possible deal for the Brazilian.
The Brazilian star has made it known that he is desperate to leave Torino for a bigger club, telling teams like the Blues about his desire to do so.
Speaking to ESPN via Sempre Inter, he said: “I told the coach and the management [last summer]: ‘I want to change now’. So they told me: ‘Stay this year, help us. Next year, you can take the next step’.
“The fans already know that I have this desire to play in the Champions League, to go there to earn a call-up to the Brazilian national team. I need to play at a much better level, so I think it’s a matter of time.”
