Sporting director reveals if world class star will sign with Chelsea
Despite all the reports, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has revealed that no clubs have made an offer for Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly as of yet.
After failing to reach a new contract agreement with both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer, the club is searching for defensive reinforcements.
And as a result, there has been continual media speculation that we are considering a number of potential defenders between now and the end of the transfer season in order to address a very significant issue in the squad.
And the club is believed to have increased their interest in Koulibaly, a 31-year-old defender for Napoli who is regarded as one of the best in the world of football.
This summer is Napoli’s last opportunity to demand a significant money for Koulibaly because his contract with the Serie A team expires at the end of the upcoming season. There have been rumors that the club has already made an offer for the star.
Now, Giuntoli has revealed that no offers have been made for Koulibaly despite all of the conjecture and rumors, and he has even been offer a contract to remain with the Italian powerhouses.
“We haven’t received official offers from any club [for Koulibaly],” Giuntoli told Sky Italy.
“He is an important player for us and we talk to him every day. President De Laurentiis has made an irrefutable offer: €6m net per the next five years, which means €60m gross and a future as club director because he’s proved to be a great person, on and off the pitch.
“No offers for Osimhen too, but only calls to express interest. Everyone knows we have great expectations and he still has three years left in his contract. We’ve received many calls, but not offers.”
