Star player could leave Stamford Bridge this summer, Blues negotiate with €90m-rated Belgium international, as Chelsea lineup for French midfielder
Jorginho’s agent says midfielder wants to leave Chelsea
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has not shied away from the media ever since the midfielder’s arrival at Chelsea. Only days after saying that Jorginho is happy in West London, Santos made a U-turn, remarking that his client wishes to hit the exit doors after three years at Chelsea.
Disclosing Jorginho’s price tag – £43 million – Santos said that a return to Serie A is possible, with Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan reportedly interested in the player’s services. Santos said in this regard:
“Jorginho would like to come back to Italy, and there is the desire to play in Serie A. If Napoli should need Jorginho, then it could happen. He still has two years left on his contract at Chelsea. As things stand today, his price-tag is €50m and he has quite high wages in London. It’s unlikely that (Napoli President Aurelio) De Laurentiis would spend so much.”
The Chelsea star’s agent continued:
“Besides, in my view, Marina Granovskaia and Chelsea will offer him a contract renewal over the next few months.”
Blues negotiate with €90m-rated Belgium international
The London giants are reportedly considering launching a bid of nearly £86m for the transfer of Inter Milan centre-forward Romelu Lukaku.
The 27-year-old has been on fire in Serie A this campaign, showing himself to be one of the finest striker in Europe again after a difficult two-year spell at Man United.
It now looks Chelsea are eager to re-sign Lukaku, with Chelsea eyeing up as one of their priorities to come in up front this summer, behind only Erling Haaland. Following the struggles of Timo Werner, it certainly makes sense for the Blues to be looking at other options, and Romelu could be ideal for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Belgium international had a fine record in his time in the PL during his spell with Everton, so would likely not struggle to settle as Werner has. Erling Haaland also seems a highly ambitious target, so an £86m move for Lukaku may be cheaper and more realistic for Chelsea.
However, Inter manager Antonio Conte is absolutely determined not to lose his star footballer this summer, so this won’t be an easy deal for Chelsea either. Barcelona are also mentioned as suitors for Lukaku, with Ronald Koeman working with him during their time together at Everton.
Chelsea lining up move for French No.10 midfielder
Chelsea are reportedly still interested in securing the services of Rennes midfield star Eduardo Camavinga in the summer.
The France international’s name dominated the transfer rumours last year on the back of an stunning breakthrough season in the French top-tier.
Camavinga was also touted as a target for PSG and Real Madrid, however, a move ultimately failed to materialise and he stays a Rennes player.
However, Spanish outlet AS claims that there could be multiple offers for the 18-year-old midfielder at the end of the current campaign.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are believed to the favourites to sign Camavinga as things stand, however, that will change should fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane to lose his job as head coach in the coming weeks if his side fail to eliminate Liverpool in the Champions League.
That could pave the way for a three-way battle for the starlets services between Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG it is claimed, with each side able to match Rennes’ asking £62m price will managed to lure him away from Roazhon Park.
Camavinga has played 32 games for Rennes in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this campaign, while also earning three caps for Les Blues.
