“Start using him, we need him to start games” – Tuchel told to start using £170k-a-week Chelsea player

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku was ineffective in Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, making just 7 touches of the ball throughout the game.

However, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been urged to drop Romelu Lukaku and start Timo Werner, ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Lille at Stamford Bridge.

Timo Werner hasn’t started a game for the Blues throughout the month of January and Chelsea fans believe the game against Lille is perfect to start the Germany international.

Below are the Blues reactions:

@donmar4u tweeted: “I think all Chelsea fans have soft spots for Werner….I need him to start against lille.”

@BlueKyp tweeted: “I would like to see a front 3 of Ziyech, Werner and Havertz on Tuesday vs Lille. The team will be faster and more fluid without Lukaku.”

@Jack_CFC: “Start using him, we need him to start games”

@J5SZN tweeted: “I hope Werner starts against Lille. We need to go B2B and Timo knows what to do.”

@BoldArchie_ tweeted: “Werner/Pulisic-Havertz-Ziyech front 3 tomorrow.”

@surennnn11 tweeted: “Bench Lukaku and start Werner.”

@tomiajayi1 tweeted: “If Werner ain’t injuried they gotta start him over Lukaku – at least he makes runs and will get into shooting opportunities.”

@hambaa82 tweeted: “Would love to see Werner given a chance to start.”

@CFCRiddler tweeted: “Start Werner in our next game please I miss this dude mehnn…..Tuchel please do the needful.”
