‘Stronger than Kai Havertz, fantastic player, but’.. – Blues fans reveals their next Chelsea no 9 for next season
Ahead of the new season, Armando Broja, a forward for Chelsea, was given the opening 45 minutes of yesterday’s match against Udinese’s reserve team.
Broja may end up being the only known striker in the first-team squad as Romelu Lukaku has left the team on loan and Timo Werner appears to be on his way out as well.
However, he had just recently returned from a foot injury when he played yesterday, and fans on Twitter had differing opinions about how he performed in Italy.
Given his level of fitness and the fact that he wasn’t playing with first-team regulars, it is challenging to evaluate Broja’s performance.
The 20-year-old did show that he could be a target man and that he was eager to get forward, but he lacked precision in front of goal.
Even though manager Thomas Tuchel appears to have ruled out a permanent departure, clubs like Newcastle, West Ham, and Everton are still interested in signing Broja on a loan. We’ll have to wait and see what the player’s future holds.
