Supercomputer gives ‘strange’ prediction for Chelsea chance of winning the Champions League
The group stage draws for the Champions League have been completed, and speculation on the winner of the competition has already started.
The supercomputer at FiveThirtyEight has predicted the Champions League 2022–2023 champions.
Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Real Madrid round up the top five teams according to the super computer.
According to the super computer, Bayern Munich are most likely to win the Champions League, with a win percentage of 21 percent.
It rated Man City’s chances at 18 percent and PSG 14 percent.
They are followed by last season’s finalists, Liverpool (9 percent) and Real Madrid (7 percent).
Chelsea’s chances of winning the Champions League was rated at 4 percent – same as Barcelona and Ajax.
As for the group stage, Chelsea were given a 76 percent chance of making it to the Round of 16 and a 47 per cent chance to top the group.
Chelsea are grouped in Group E with AC Milan, RB Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb.
