Top German journalist Christian Falk claimed on Tuesday that Chelsea were serious about signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen after approaching the German club.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sees the 20 year old attacking midfielder as a perfect replacement for Willian and Pedro, who are expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Talks between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen for the 20 year old are going well and according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Blues have offered a lucrative contract to the young attacking midfielder.
Chelsea have reportedly offered Havertz a five year contract with wages of €8 million a year (£7.1 million).
Bayer Leverkusen have also reportedly told the Blues they want €80 million for Havertz.
