Tammy Abraham sends strong message to Chelsea as Lukaku struggles at Chelsea

Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was sold to AS Roma last summer and replaced by Romelu Lukaku for a club record fee of £97.5million.

However, according to reports, Tammy Abraham hopes to return to Chelsea in the near future after leaving the club for Italian side AS Roma last summer.

While Abraham has excelled at AS Roma, Lukaku has struggled at Chelsea which has now prompted some fans to suggest signing Lukaku was a mistake.

Abraham has scored 17 goals for AS Roma while Lukaku has scored just 8 goals for Chelsea.

According to Italian media outlet Il Corriere dello Sport, Abraham wants to ‘go home one day’ in a bid to conquer the Premier League.

Meanwhile, AS Roma chief Tiago Pinto recently confirmed Chelsea have a buy-back clause in the deal that took Abraham to the Italian side last summer.

Pinto said: “It’s true, that clause does exist, but we are not worried.

“It’s only valid from 2023, but I am not concerned. I am happy because he is playing well and can get even better.”
