Chelsea right-back Reece James put in a stellar display as the Blues sealed a convincing 3-1 win over Manchester United yesterday evening.
The 20-year-old was utilised as a wingback, keeping his opposing number Brandon Williams quiet whilst also providing a threat going forward throughout the 90 minutes.
However, James’ form has been up and down in recent months. He was one of those who was substituted at half-time by manager Frank Lampard in the last round of the FA Cup against Leicester.
However, like the whole team on Sunday, the fullback was at it from the first minute, showing great intensity which carried him through the entire game.
Of course, at James’ age, he will be inconsistent at times but performances like the one yesterday show that he has the potential to be one of the best fullbacks in the league, if not Europe.
