Chelsea play Southampton on Saturday in their next Premier League match, and some players will have just returned from International duty.
Hakim Ziyech’s Morocco are playing on Tuesday evening, but thankfully Ziyech will not be involved, neither will he be there.
This is because he has returned back to Chelsea after playing just a 30 minute cameo for his country after being injured all season so far.
Frank Lampard made an agreement with the Moroccan FC to only give Ziyech one substitute appearance before allowing him to return to Chelsea in order to train and be ready for the Southampton game on the 17th.
This was very wise, as it gave Ziyech a decent bit of match fitness and helped aid his recovery.
He is unlikely to start the game on Saturday, but another 30 or so minute cameo will do him wonders next weekend and will hopefully be the start of a sustained period in the first team.
According to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Ziyech has left the Moroccan national team camp to join Chelsea. Frank Lampard reportedly wants to hand Hakim Ziyech his Chelsea debut in the Premier League game against Southampton. #CFCSOU
