“The potential is there’ – Tuchel suggests £58M attacker will be at Chelsea next season
Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is unlikely to leave Chelsea in the coming transfer window, according to Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea paid £58 million to sign him to the Premier League, hoping he would be the club’s next major star.
However, he has not reached the heights that many had hoped for and has struggled to make the impression that the board had hoped for, making only a few Premier League appearances this season under Tuchel.
This has sparked a flurry of media conjecture in recent days, with reports claiming that he has decided to leave the club at the conclusion of the season in order to restart his career.
However, the Blues manager believes he has so much more potential if the 23-year-old can improve his clinical streak – According to the club’s website, he said:
‘He’s not that player who produced in the last three years 30 goals and it’s a matter of time until he is that kind of player. We will push him to the limit.
‘We’re not pointing fingers but we struggle with over-performance in this area and our opponents have certain quality and efficiency on a normal level that is far beyond our level of goals and assists.
‘Maybe we need to help in the way we attack, maybe we can help in the structure of how we attack. We will try to help. We are not blaming anybody, it’s just a fact and we have to get our heads around it.’
Pulisic may not be happy with the game time that eh has received this season – but when you play for a top team – you need to be able to cope with sitting in the bench – it happens at Liverpool and Man City
He has alot of potential that Chelsea fans are just waiting to see – so we strongly believe that he will stay at Chelsea – he should
