According to reports in the French media, Chelsea has offered Luis Campos a contract of €8 million a year to become the club’s sporting director.
According to the initial Blues offer, Campos would be in charge of all transfers during the January and summer transfer windows in 2019.
Given that Campos, 58, has a very excellent reputation after stints at Monaco, Lille, and PSG, fans on Twitter are strongly in favor of giving him the job. They have observed, meanwhile, that the temporary arrangement might open the door for someone else to step into his place after him:
It would be a major accomplishment for Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali to sign Campos and then secure Michael Edwards, a former sporting director at Liverpool, to succeed him.
