‘There are doubts about them — Tuchel gives worrying update on four Chelsea players ahead of Juventus clash
Ahead of Champions league clash against Juventus, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel gives updates on Chelsea’s injury players.
However, Chelsea lost to Juventus in the first leg in Turin, and the Italians are three points ahead of Chelsea as they occupy first position in the group.
Tuchel has given injury update on the Chelsea squad, with fitness news for Kai Havertz, Jorginho, Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic.
Jorginho and Havertz were subbed off with injury concerns against Leicester City, and Tuchel revealed that while Jorginho is perfectly okay, there are doubts about Havertz. Tuchel also revealed that Timo Werner is okay, but Kovacic remains ruled out.
“Jorgi is absolutely okay,” said the Chelsea boss.
“We had to take Kai off because of hamstring problems. He felt a bit of tension in the hamstrings, so we took him off and we have some doubts with him. We need to check and see if he can train without any problems, so this is more or less the question mark.
“We’ll try everything to win the game” said Thomas Tuchel.
“Timo feels good, he was in training yesterday, he’s back in the squad again, and Mateo Kovacic is still out.”
