“They have stronger starting eleven, but I’ll stick with them till may” – Michael Owen reveals best three teams to win the league
According to Michael Owen, the title race could go down until the end of the season, but he believes Liverpool will eventually win it at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea to fight for the Premier League title until the end of the season.
Furthermore, Owen has backed his claim based on who has the better starting eleven, and he believes Jurgen Klopp’s side has the better starting team among the title chasing packs.
Owen told Premier League Productions: “I think it’s very difficult to predict. I couldn’t argue with anybody if they said one of those three will win it.”
“I think this title race will go all the way until May. I think all three of them will still have a chance of winning it in May.
“I think these are the best three sides we’ve seen for a long, long time. We’ve seen sides, City have been great. Liverpool have been great in the last few seasons, but we’ve never seen three teams of this standard at once in the Premier League. This is an exceptional season and I’m convinced it will go to the wire.
“The results of the top three already, they don’t seem to be slipping up. I do think the starting XI of Liverpool and Man City are stronger than Chelsea, but Chelsea have got a great manager and a great squad.
“It could go any way but I’ll stick my pick on Liverpool.”
