“They need beating” – Gary Neville reveals why Chelsea should have beat embarrassing Manchester United team
So unlucky once again as the Blues take a point out of Old Trafford
However, Thomas Tuchel’s side outplayed Ralf Rangnick’s men, but the Blues undid their hard work after conceding nearly two minutes after Marcos Alonso scored the game’s opener.
Chelsea tore into Manchester United minute after minute, and United legend Gary Neville blasted his former side while running commentary for Sky Sports.
Gary Neville said: “Man United are the type of team for any football fan watching that you almost want to get beat.
“They need beating, they set a really poor example around work ethic and trying – and all the things that parents and teachers tell their children every single day.”
He continued: “Look at the gaps and the space! It’s unbelievable. You don’t see any teams in the league give the space that United do.
“Look where he is [Rashford], he’s at the halfway line, he’s not even moved!
“These lot get paid a fortune and walk about on a football pitch. Embarrassing.”
Unfortunately, Chelsea only out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
