‘This is my club’ – Verdict Chelsea fans will love after latest transfer change
After assisting Chelsea to victory in the Champions League, Trevoh Chalobah was glad to be back on the field.
Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea who came off the bench to shine against AC Milan, who were very close to signing him in the summer, says he is ready to battle blood and thunder for the team.
Chalobah had only played once in the Premier League for the Blues so far this season, but he was granted a lifeline by unfortunate events when record signing Wesley Fofana was hurt in the opening period of the encounter.
The young English defender rose to the occasion, won praise, and is now eager for more. He promises to keep up his diligent work behind the scenes in an effort to win over new boss Graham Potter and resume playing.
The 23-year-old told reporters after the game against AC Milan in the Champions League: “Yes for me I am at Chelsea, this is my club. Every time I get the chance I want to show the manager that I am good enough to play.
“Any chance I get I need to do my best and let the manager decide. This is it playing at a big club like Chelsea, you’ve got to be ready.
“If you are not playing you need to know what you need to do better. It starts in training. I’ve been ready for a couple of games now and I got my chance today and hopefully I can take it.
“I felt good stepping on the pitch today. It has been a long time but it felt good and I can’t wait for the next game.”
The win against Milan was one of the best performance for Chelsea this season- and was only the second time they had managed to keep a clean-sheet in the last three months, the first was on the opening day of the campaign against Everton.
