‘THIS ON HIM’, ‘GET HIM OUT OF OUR CLUB’ – Chelsea fans begs Todd Boehly to get Chelsea man out of club after Sheffield United draw

Chelsea extended their winning streak to seven games on Sunday, but relegation-threatened Sheffield United kept them in check with an equalizer in the 93rd minute from Oliver McBurnie.

Thiago Silva’s header gave Mauricio Pochettino’s team the lead in the first half, but Jayden Bogle’s surprise shot past Djordje Petrovic in the 32nd minute pulled one back for the home team.

Despite employing a 3-4-2-1 formation while in control, Chelsea was unable to penetrate a resilient Sheffield United defense until Noni Madueke scored in the 66th minute, sending a shot into the roof of the net after cutting inside with his better left foot.

The Blues looked destined for three points, but they failed to deal with a late Sheffield United attack and McBurnie netted a last-gasp equaliser after a flick-in from substitute Cameron Archer.

As a result, the Blues are now ninth in the Premier League table, three points behind Newcastle United in eighth, albeit with a game in hand.

It is the second time in three games in which Chelsea have suffered a 2-2 draw against a newly-promoted, relegation-threatened side following their awful result versus Burnley on 30 March.

Both games saw Chelsea lead on two occasions before being pegged back, while they maintained the vast majority of possession in the two games as well.

Against Burnley, Chelsea enjoyed 69% possession and mustered 33 shots on goal, but their effectiveness was even worse during the draw at Bramall Lane. In fact, Chelsea were outplayed despite having far more of the ball.

Sheffield United only had 33% possession versus the Blues, but they produced more shots (11 to six) and more shots on target (six to three) than the away side.

Pressure on Pochettino remains rife and a lacklustre display against a poor Sheffield United side has ensured that fans have urged their club to sack the former Tottenham Hotspur boss.

The 4-3 win over Manchester United saw scenes of jubilation at Stamford Bridge due to the dramatic nature of it, but Chelsea nearly threw a 2-0 lead away and could easily have come away empty-handed against Erik ten Hag’s side.

The Blues owners are adamant that Pochettino deserves time to build their current project, however the Argentine has an extremely talented squad at his disposal and yet Chelsea look remarkably average.

What have Chelsea fans said?

@siphillipssport: Anyone want to still try and defend Pochettino? He’s tactically inept. I can’t remember the last time we actually played well under Poch. Completely out of his depth tactically and he’s only still here because certain people are trying to save face. Hold your hands up, like I am.

@CFCDaily: POCHETTINO GET OUT OF OUR CLUB\
@CFCDUBois: Sack Pochettino i’m done. This is the last straw. SACK HIM NOW.

@FelixJohnston_: Outplayed by Sheffield United ???????? you can’t blame this one on missed chances or player mistakes. THIS IS ON POCH
