Timo Werner sends ‘strong warning’ to Premier League defenders
Chelsea striker Timo Werner has warned Premier League defenders that he has adapted to the physicality of the Premier League after his bright start to the campaign.
In his last four games for the Blues, Werner has bagged five goals, while he scored another brace for his country in their Nations League win over Ukraine on Saturday.
“Teams use long balls more often in England but obviously you get stronger when you’re playing against strong opponents,” Werner said.
“You see space differently and that helps in the national side too.
“It does differ as the coaches have different ideas of how to play football but I’ve definitely got more used to the physicality.”
