Todd Boehly Era starts? as reports claims Chelsea already secured €400million player
According to latest reports, Chelsea new owner Todd Boehly have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele as a free agent this summer.
However, Transfer expert H. Grimes claims Dembele to Chelsea is a done deal and if the report is to be believed, this will be Boehly’s first signing as Chelsea owner.
Other reliable sources are yet to confirm Dembele to Chelsea being a done deal so we shouldn’t get excited about this deal just yet.
@es_grimes tweeted: “🚨Dembele signs the last minutes at Chelsea. Done deal.”
She added: “🚨Like reported months ago: Dembele to join Tuchel CFC. Like reported week ago: Dembele agreed personal terms with CFC. CFC working to wrap the deal ASAP.”
Dembele joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 (where he played under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel) and signed a five year deal with Barcelona which have a release clause of €400million.
Dembele is expected leave Barcelona as a free agent this summer amid reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel managed Dembele during his short spell at Borussia Dortmund, where he has been full of praise for his ability. He said, via GOAL: “Of course, we love his dribbling, we love his bravery, we love his pace, his control on the ball. We know a lot of the facets of his game from the training.
“Ousmane is a player who brilliantly combines dribbling, passing and making space to a very high level. That’s extraordinary.”
