Todd Boehly first signing? as Reports confirms Chelsea have finally reached agreement with Serie A star

Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic was heavily linked with Chelsea under Antonio Conte, but a deal never materialized.

However, According to reports in Italy, Chelsea and the 33-year-old have reached an initial agreement to sign him on a free transfer.

After failing to reach a deal with Inter Milan, the Croatian international is expected to leave at the conclusion of the season.

The 33-year-old is enraged by the Serie A champions’ treatment of him.

According to reports, Perisic had demanded a new three-year contract worth just under £100,000 a week but Inter only offered a two-year deal worth around £65,000 a week.

Perisic has still proven to be a key player for Inter and recently scored a brace in the Coppa Italia final, as Inter beat Juventus 4-2 after extra time to win the trophy.

Perisic told Sports Mediaset: “I don’t know anything yet,”

“With important players, you don’t wait to the last minute. You ought to know that too.”

Perisic may be the first signing of the Todd Boehly era, and Sports Mediaset claims that the deal is subject to a medical and the final formalities of the agreement have not yet been signed off.

With Boehly set to be confirmed as the new owner of Chelsea, Chelsea have swooped in on this transfer, having played catch-up in the transfer market for some months now.
