Arsenal have formed a new habit of poaching Chelsea players who aren’t too deemed very important at the club.
Arsenal have recently signed two Brazilian players from the club, David Luiz and Willian, and were keen on adding another Brazil native to their squad, Jorginho.
Jorginho’s future at the club has been in doubt since last season, with rumours consistently saying that Chelsea may eventually sell the 29-year-old and sign a replacement in Declan Rice.
Arsenal are keen on strengthening their midfield this summer, and have targeted Jorginho as one of their options in that role.
However, according to reports from The Athletic, Chelsea will not sell Jorginho to the Gunners, and the Italy international is set to remain at the club for yet another season.
Also, the Blues will not make a deadline day move for Declan Rice as Frank Lampard had managed to get all his signings on time before the start of the season.
There are still a few names that will leave the club before the window closes today, and we’d definitely keep you posted.
