Trouble! as £51m star regrets snubbing Chelsea for PSG

Chelsea and PSG both made strong bids for Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi last summer, but it was the Paris club that emerged victorious.

Chelsea had matched PSG’s £51.3 million bid, but the Moroccan international chose PSG.

“I feel a lot of pride today,” Hakimi stated upon his arrival in Paris last year. Following my experiences in Spain, Germany, and Italy, Paris Saint-Germain offers me the chance to explore a new league while wearing the colors of one of the world’s most prominent clubs.

“I can’t wait to meet my new team-mates, the fans and feel the extraordinary fervour that reigns at the Parc des Princes.”

However, a journalist on French TV station RMC Sport, has claimed that the Morocco international is ready to give up on his spell in Paris after just 12 months, because of the cliquey dressing room and issues behind the scenes.

The departure of sporting director Leonardo and manager Mauricio Pochettino has also added to Achraf Hakimi’s uncertainty at the club.
