Tuchel happy with latest Todd Boehly’s new Chelsea policy
Todd Boehly has subsequently been named the new owner of Chelsea, following the completion of his consortium’s buyout of the club from Roman Abramovich.
Boehly, according to sources, has decided to adopt a different approach than Roman Abramovich.
Todd Boehly is said to have delegated transfer authority to Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea are set to follow the lead of their Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.
Tuchel will have more say in transfer negotiations, which is a departure from the club’s previous policy.
The old transfer strategy gave the club hierarchy more power over moves than the managers, but that is poised to alter now that the team is under new ownership.
According to the source, Tuchel will continue to work with Marina Granovskaia, the club’s sports director, and Petr Cech, the club’s technical and performance advisor, and they will only target the players Tuchel demands.
