Tuchel ‘has spoken’ to £85M man ahead of proposed Chelsea move!
According to reports, Thomas Tuchel has already spoken with Wesly fofana regarding a potential transfer to Chelsea.
However, The only three players to arrive this summer are Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Slonina, and Kalidou Koulibaly, albeit the young American isn’t quite ready for the first cup of tea yet.
Thomas Tuchel is aware that his team has to recruit a few more defenders in the coming weeks, and Marc Cucurella is the next one to join the team after the Blues agreed to a whopping £52 million transfer fee.
Additionally, there are still numerous media rumors suggesting that the club is keen to acquire Fofana.
As they do not want to lose the player this summer, Leicester has set an asking price of between £80 and £85 million. However, it is said that Chelsea’s efforts to sign the 21-year-old are “progressing nicely.”
Now, Journalist Simon Phillips has told GIVEMESPORT that Tuchel is a huge admirer of Fofana and has spoken to him before.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “I do know that Tuchel is a big fan of Fofana. He spoke to him, I think, at the end of one of the games that Chelsea played against Leicester last season. Obviously, I don’t know what was said, but I do know that Tuchel has always been a big fan of Fofana.
“In terms of priorities, Josko Gvardiol is just ahead of Fofana in terms of what Tuchel would choose if he had the choice of both of them.
“But yeah, I mean, Fofana is high up on the list as well.”
