‘Tuchel is a big fan since two years’ – as Chelsea ‘considering’ to sign €80m player after takeover
If Chelsea’s new owners want to support manager Thomas Tuchel, they must undertake some serious work this summer.
After another bad performance on the pitch against Everton this weekend, which summed up what has been a wildly uneven season for the club, it is evident to me that this group requires significant upgrading.
Will this happen now that the new owners have taken over? Of course, that is a question that cannot be answered at this time.
According to trade specialist Fabrizio Romano, the club is still interested in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
He thinks Tuchel is a great fan of the defender and that he is one of the summer’s possible targets.
I believe we could acquire him for a lot less than the €80 million release clause suggested this summer, and it’s always seemed like a transaction that was supposed to happen to me.
Chelsea are still considering Jules Koundé as one of the potential targets, he’s among 3/4 options on the CB list. Tuchel’s big fan of Koundé since two years. 🔵 #CFC
Sevilla always asked for €80m as release clause price – while Chelsea will lose both Rüdiger & Christensen.
