Tuchel opens up on Rudiger’s new contract, as Spanish star opens up to join Chelsea (as he called Chelsea his home)

Since the arrival of Chelsea new boss Thomas Tuchel, Rudiger has been one of Chelsea and Tuchel key solid player at the back and this have gives Tuchel lots of confidence in him.

However, Tuchel speaks ahead of Leicester City clash on Rudiger:

Thomas Tuchel said: “Nothing is better than what Antonio Rudiger is doing for a new contract. If he wants to have a new contract he has our full support to stay at the club.

“He is speaking with his performances; he has been amazing since day one. We chose him in the first match after just one day of training. He’s German and I had a clearer picture of what he can do.

“Since then it’s well deserved he is in the team. He is an aggressive leader, has this natural aggressivity in him. He hates to lose, is hard to beat in duels, is very brave, and full of energy in his defending.

“He is leading by example and has a very positive aggressivity in him. This is what we like. When he can channel all this into top performances, as he does now, we are all very happy to have him.”

The German defender came close to leave Chelsea in the 2020 summer transfer window after being frozen out of the squad by Frank Lampard.

However, the German has turn himself as a key player under Tuchel, leading the Blues to the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

Spanish star opens up to join Chelsea (as he called Chelsea his home)

According to recent reports from Spain, Real Madrid star Eden Hazard could make a return to Chelsea this summer if Zinedine Zidane leaves the Spanish side.

Zidane was one of the key reasons Hazard made the move to Real Madrid as he was Hazard’s idol growing up.

Belgium football Kristof Terreur claims Hazard still calls Chelsea his home despite leaving the club for Real Madrid in 2019.

Hazard reportedly kept his house in London and intends to stay in London after his career even if he doesn’t make a Chelsea return.

Terreur said as quoted by CaughtOffside: ““He always called it [Chelsea] home. ‘My blood is blue, but my heart says I have to go to Real Madrid’, that was really his dream. He thought a long time about it, he liked living in Cobham, the small talk going to the bakery or for breakfast somewhere.

“The only teams he wants to play for if Real Madrid push him out is Lille or Chelsea. He kept his house in London and he even thinks about living in London after his career. I still know some people at the club [Chelsea] really like him.”

Hazard made 350 appearances for the Blues, scoring 110 goals and assisting a further 92.
