Tuchel receives massive Manchester City and Liverpool message after FA Cup final defeat
Following Chelsea’s FA Cup loss to Liverpool, it appears that Tuchel has received some important messages from his opponents.
Manchester City and Liverpool, according to Thomas Tuchel, have shown Chelsea that they need consistency to compete with them.
However, On Saturday, the German manager’s side lost the FA Cup final 6-5 on penalties to Liverpool, their third consecutive final defeat.
As the season draws to a close, City and Liverpool are battling for the Premier League title, with Chelsea in third place.
Tuchel stated after the encounter at Wembley Stadium that his team’s opponents demonstrated to Chelsea the importance of consistency in order to compete with them at the top of their game.
Tuchel said after the match via Football London: “We have everything it takes to win trophies, we proved it by the way.”
“We have a Club World Cup and a European Super Cup and I don’t feel sorry this was at the beginning of the season and in winter.
“We were good in Champions League, strong in both domestic cups, we can produce peak performances and we have the mentality in the club to shape the mentality of the players, but Man City and Liverpool have shown you need this on a consistency.”
Chelsea, on the other hand, has failed to beat City and Liverpool in six games this season, with the Blues losing their second cup final to the Reds this season.
They are close to finishing in the Premier League top four with two games remaining, and they will face Leicester City and Watford at Stamford Bridge this week.
