Tuchel reportedly wants to reunion with former PSG star as Saul Niguez replacement

According to reports in the Italian media, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is considering a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the January transfer window.

The France international has been a regular starter for Juve this season but the Serie A club’s manager, Max Allegri, has publicly criticised him for not realising his potential.

Tuchel has worked with Rabiot at PSG, during the 2018/19 campaign before the midfielder moved on a free transfer to Italy, and it appears he wants to be reunited with his former player.

Saul Niguez already seems to be on borrowed time at Stamford Bridge, with claims from Spain suggesting Tuchel didn’t even want the 26-year-old.

If the Blues do allow Niguez to return to Atletico Madrid, then a bid for Rabiot will be considered. There are no details currently over whether Chelsea would like to sign the Frenchman on loan or on a permanent basis.
