Tuchel reveals ‘strong’ Chelsea plans for pre-season

Tuchel reveals strong Chelsea plans for pre-season

According to The Athletic, Chelsea will be back in training in the second week of July.

However, due to the COVID-19 concerns, the Blues will not travel abroad and will remain on the British Isles for the whole of the pre-season.

And Thomas Tuchel will be preparing his team to start out strong as the first games might be very important for their title charge.

‘“Tuchel isn’t going to take it easy on the squad during the pre-season,” a source told The Athletic. “He wants to make sure they are flying for the start of the season, so that they are ready from the outset. It is a really tough start. Chelsea can’t afford to be slow out of the blocks.”

Their season starts on August 11 with the UEFA Super Cup clash against Villarreal in Belfast.

Meanwhile, the first five Premier League games will be against Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as Aston Villa and Man City at home.
