Tuchel reveals why Jorghino is responsible for Werner lack of goals, as player unhappy with treatment from Tuchel

Tuchel reveals why Jorghino is responsible for Werner lack of goals, as player unhappy with treatment from Tuchel.

According to Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, Werner’s goals would have been higher if he takes penalties at Chelsea like other strikers in Europe.

However, Chelsea striker Timo Werner has scored just 6 goals in 34 Premier League games for the Blues this season.

Jorginho is Chelsea’s designated penalty taker while the likes of Harry Kane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mohamed Salah take penalties for their respective clubs.

Tuchel said of Werner: “Many goalscorers in Europe take penalties for their team and it’s usual that their high numbers have penalties.

“If we had penalties in his number everyone might be happy with his numbers.”

Tammy Abraham unhappy with treatment from Tuchel

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has made the decision to leave the club at the end of the season after falling down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.

Abraham has been a Blue since the age of seven, emerging from our academy to wear the club’s coveted No 9 shirt but the England striker cannot suffer another season like this.

The 23-year-old was Chelsea’s first-choice striker under former boss Frank Lampard but struggles to even make the bench under Tuchel.

Abraham believes he deserves more. He was Chelsea’s top scorer when Lampard was sacked in January and despite playing just 230 minutes of football under Tuchel, is still the club’s joint-top goalscorer.

Timo Werner is level with the 23-year-old in the goal charts — but he has played in 50 games this season. Abraham has played 32 games — 16 of those as substitute.

Kai Havertz, who has also been played as a striker ahead of Abraham, has scored just eight goals in 43 appearances so far this season.

Abraham has reportedly accepted he isn’t fancied by Chelsea boss Tuchel and expects to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Finding a new club won’t be a problem for Abraham; there are already a host of suitors in the Premier League and abroad lining up to take Abraham next season. Among the clubs interested in the 23 year old are Leicester City and West Ham.

The Blues are reportedly willing to let Abraham leave if an offer of £40million is received.
