Tuchel reveals why some Chelsea players will be dropped for the FA Cup final following wolves draw
It’s another shocking day for Chelsea , as the Blues draw 2-2 against Wolves.
However, Chelsea still has one trophy to contend with, as they will meet Liverpool in the FA Cup final on May 14th.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has told his players that anyone who does not work hard in training will not be able to participate in the game.
Tuchel said: “We cannot forget what a player did up until here and what role he played. But it is a little bit like that [a reset], and it was the time to do it,”
“Let’s start from scratch and see who’s ready for Saturday, who takes care in three training sessions, so everybody has the feeling that he is ready.”
Explaining why he started Romelu Lukaku against Wolves, Tuchel revealed that the Belgian has been doing well in training.
“We treat him pretty normal and he behaves pretty normal,” said Tuchel.
“That’s what I loved about him from the first minute. I never had the feeling that I train a superstar.
“I train a hungry guy, who wants to score, who is not happy of course how things have gone, who is still hustling for a better outcome.
“That’s what counts, it’s the process. He’s fully involved in it and as long as it’s like this, then he gets our support.”
