“Under pressure” – Former Chelsea striker gives shocking prediction for Chelsea vs West Ham United clash
Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, has predicted the outcome of today’s Premier League match between the Blues and West Ham United at Stamford Bridge (September 3).
The team led by Thomas Tuchel is coming off a 2-1 loss to Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium. They now hold the tenth spot in the table after winning just two of their first five Premier League games.
West Ham United, on the other hand, has won just one of its first five games and is currently at 14th in the standings. In their most recent game, they drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium.
Sutton predicted that the hosts would have a difficult time, as he stated in his BBC column:
“I don’t know about this one. Chelsea have signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but things aren’t right at the club. Thomas Tuchel is agitated and he could come under pressure if they don’t win this game.”
He added: “West Ham are getting there now. I expect Chelsea to win if both teams turn up but I do have a feeling West Ham will get a point from this.”
