Update: Chelsea receive Edouard Mendy huge boost ahead of Sevilla clash
Edouard Mendy missed Chelsea’s last game, as the Blues played a 3-3 draw with Southampton despite having gone 2-0 up.
The Chelsea defence looked shaky in the absence of the Senegal international, who got injured while on international duty with Senegal.
Speaking after the game against the Saints, Frank Lampard ruled out Mendy for up to two weeks, but reports coming in, claim that the 28-year-old could be available against Sevilla.
Mendy has returned to training and trained with the first team on Sunday and Monday.
Mendy face a late fitness test to be in goal against Sevilla, and The Telegraph claim that he could be in line for our Champions League opener at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
