Ahead of tonight clash, an update regarding Dele Alli has emerged on Tuesday afternoon.
Alli has, of course, endured something of a rough time at Spurs over the last year or so, with his performances, for the most part, nowhere up to the standard we had become accustomed to seeing.
And after his struggles continued into the current campaign, Jose Mourinho has begun to significantly limit the midfielder’s opportunities, with Alli actually missing out on Spurs last two Premier League matchday squads.
This has, in turn, led to speculation that Alli could depart Tottenham in the near future, with PSG linked recently.
Said speculation will no doubt ramp up even more on Tuesday as well after the Telegraph claimed that the Englishman has been left out of Spurs’ squad to face Chelsea.
With Mourinho expected to rotate against the Blues, you would have thought this game was a great chance for Alli to get some minutes in a competition Mourinho has himself said he isn’t prioritising. However, that, evidently, doesn’t look set to happen now.
