‘Very strong physically, hard to get the ball off him’ – Brentford player reveals how Chelsea player finished them

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is given some Chelsea players the chance to prove themselves.

However, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek made his second Premier League start of the season as his resurgence under Thomas Tuchel continues.

The England international was one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch in the hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday evening.

Loftus-Cheek completed 5 dribbles against Brentford, the most by any player on the pitch. He also had the most touches of the ball (101), won the most fouls (5) and also won the most ground duels (12).

Loftus-Cheek was second highest when it came to passing the ball, completing 62 passes during the game.

However, Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard was full of praise for Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s performance after the game as he admitted that it was difficult to take the ball off the Chelsea star.

“I think in the first half, they dominated the middle of the park,” the Denmark international told Brentford’s official YouTube channel.

“I think Loftus-Cheek played a really good game.

“He was very composed on the ball — very hard to get the ball off him, and he’s very strong physically.

“But I have to say that in the second half we were on top, including in midfield. We were winning the second balls, and they looked a bit tired.”
