Frank Lampard had Ben Chilwell waiting on the sideline ready to come on for Kai Havertz when the midfielder found himself played in by Tammy Abraham.

He scored, his third of the game, completing a first senior hattrick for the German, and then moments later went off to a deafening (silent) ovation at Stamford Bridge.

It’s a great moment for the new signing, and after a couple of quiet games he’s really announced himself tonight. This game was mainly for helping some players back to fitness, but it’s ended up being a lot more positive than just that.

Wow What a goal!
