Chelsea booked their place in the final of the FA Cup, after a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was the worst player on show at Wembley as he looked a shadow of himself against Chelsea.

De Gea conceded three goals and made too many mistakes in goal, much to the dismay of Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan.

Olivier Giroud converted Reece James’ cross at the near post with a fine flicked finish to beat De Gea, and Phelan was furious while watching the replay on the manager’s screen.

De Gea further spilled Mason Mount’s distant shot into the net and had a really poor game.

Meanwhile, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose to defend his goalkeeper at the end of the game.

“[David] knows he should save that one 100 times out of 100 but that’s football for you,” said Solskjaer. “It is done. Move on. I know he is a mentally strong person and goalkeeper.”
