The Blues might have gotten themselves a handful with the signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. However, Chelsea have moved to sign up the 24-year-old after triggering his release clause of £49m.
Meanwhile, Werner has proven to be a lethal striker after a stunning campaign that has him score 31 goals in 40 appearances this season for RB Leipzig, with 25 goals in 29 Bundesliga games.
Werner netted his third hat-trick of the season last month, and Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise for his speed and pattern of play.
“Timo now has a good sense not only of letting himself attack on the wing, but also of going into the No.10 position,” the Leipzig boss told reporters.
“Coupled with his speed, this makes him more varied in his play and more difficult for his opponents to get to grips with him.”
See some of Timo’s highlights that will make him a fearsome striker in the Premier League.
