“War”- Lampard slams Solskjaer claims ahead of FA Cup clash

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed Chelsea have an unfair advantage over United ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup semifinal.

Manchester United played Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Selhurst Park on Thursday less than three days before the Wembley clash, while Chelsea will have had five days’ rest from the win over Norwich on Tuesday.

However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard doesn’t see any advantage as he claims the Blues have been playing games regularly as well.

Lampard said in his press conference: “I don’t think we do. We’ve played on Saturday and Tuesday this week, they’ve played on Monday and Thursday so we’ve both played two games this week as it stands.

“We’re in a period where we’re playing games all the time very regularly and it becomes play, recover, play again, recover and you work with the squad as it is. Sometimes it works in your favour to be playing regularly and ticking over.”
