Werner to be rested, Kovacic to start – Strongest Predicted Chelsea lineup to face Arsenal

Arsenal set to host Chelsea in the Boxing Day Premier League clash on Saturday, and these fixtures can often bring excitement and unpredictability.

Arsenal are really struggling this season and going through a very rough run of form, but they can never be underestimated regardless and it will be a tough match for Frank Lampard’s side.

They will fancy playing them though with their own confidence high after beating West Ham 3-0 earlier this week, and Lampard will be looking for all three points.

His selection is hard to call, with players returning from injury, some needing a rest ahead of a busy schedule, and others staking claims for a start.

I believe Mateo Kovacic will come back in from the start, and we could see Timo Werner rested in favour of Kai Havertz or Callum Hudson-Odoi, depending on just how fit the latter is.

Predicted Xl –: (4-3-3): Mendy, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Silva, Emerson. Kante, Mount, Kovacic. Pulisic, Havertz, Abraham.
