Why Pochettino’s assistant was given red card against Brentford
Mauricio Pochettino had to finish Chelsea’s clash against Brentford earlier on Saturday with one member of his coaching team missing.
With Chelsea down 1-0, tempers were understandably flying as the Blues went in search of an equaliser.
Things however, got out of hand when Pochettino’s assistant, Jesus Perez was shown a red card for encroaching in the opposition technical area.
The red card was initially believed to be a result of an argument between Perez and members of the Brentford bench, but it turns out that it was because he went into an area he had no business going to.
